Sled Dog -- Maxwell

Name: Maxwell

Where is he now? Max had a very hard time socially with the other boys in our dog yard. It seemed the longer he was here the more he was getting into fights. All of the males in the yard were beginning to be more nervous and aggressive toward each other; not a good trend. I separated Max from the pack and found that everything settled right back down. Max needed to be in a home where he was the one and only center of attention. We had him evaluated at the North Country Animal League and their opinion was that he was "highly" adoptable. We found him a great home in Craftsbury, Vermont not far from here where can be the center of the universe.

*Note: Sometimes dogs that I adopt turn out to not be a good match for the rest of our team. There are many different reasons this can happen from the inability to get along with the other dogs to a lack of drive. When this happens I strive to find a more suitable situation for the dog taking into consideration their individual personalities. I will do whatever it takes to assure that each and every dog is happy and living a fulfilling life. Any dog I place in a new home will come back to me if the new home does not work out. I pride myself on being responsible for each and every dog for the duration of it's life.
