Where is he now? We lost Umiak the spring of 09 due to cancer. Umiak was a wonderful little guy with a huge amount of energy. I often referred to him as our little Tasmanian Devil. He would sit so calm and quite you would think he was the calmest dog you ever saw but when we started to hook the team up to run he would go crazy digging holes in the ground and jumping around like mad with a crazed look in his eyes. He was very chatty with me in the dog yard and we had many hours of good conversation. I miss his presence immensely.

The winter of 08/09 was a rough one for us with the loss of several wonderful companions. At times I think the loss of my dear friends is more than I can bear and wonder whether I can continue. Other times I realize I could not imagine a life with out them in it.
