Dog Cart Tours
Information and pricing for our dog cart tours:
This falls schedule: We will be running day time tours at Lake Elmore on Tuesdays and Fridays at 4:00 pm. Please allow a total of 2 hours for your time here with us.
* At this point in time we are requiring face coverings while riding in the sled due to the fact that we can not maintain a six foot distance between passengers and the driver.
Note: the start time will be earlier in late fall and especially after daylight savings comes to an end.
We will have 1 two passenger cart available per run this season.
We have a small kennel and only run one cart tour per day. To be assured a tour you should book well in advance. Next day bookings are sometimes available but we are often booked a month in advance.
Prices for cart tours:
Two passenger cart: $200.00 (+tax)
*All bookings are "hold card" which means you will be asked for credit card information to secure the booking but nothing will be run on your card until the day of your tour. We offer a 6% discount for cash payment and you can choose that option the day of your tour.

Further cart tour information:
Join us for fall training and come along on a dog cart ride in one of our custom dog carts. What is a dog cart you might ask. A dog cart is basically a wheeled dogsled used to exercise the dogs in the fall months in preparation for the winter sledding season. These carts are the ultimate in dry land dog travel, full suspension, four wheel disk brakes, and comfortable seating. If you have always wanted to go for a sled ride but have been concerned about getting into or out of a sled you might want to consider a cart tour. The carts have bucket seats and they are higher off of the ground than the sleds making them easier to get in and out of.
Don't miss the beauty of fall in Vermont!
The temperatures are dropping and there is a palpable excitement in the air. Our Siberians know that it’s time to run and they are more than ready after a relaxing summer playing in the dog yard. They know we are coming into our favorite time of the year. For anyone who has never seen the joy of a Siberian husky as they roll in the year’s first snow it’s an amazing thing to behold. You can’t help but be caught up in the excitement and having the privilege to participate in it is one of my life's biggest pleasures. Take a ride to Lake Elmore, bundle up in a warm sweater and let our team take you for a ride through the Vermont country side. There is nothing like fall with the smell of wood smoke in the air, rotting leaves on the ground and the sounds of geese overhead as they head south for the winter. It’s sure to be one of the most unique ways of viewing the fall foliage you'll ever experience.
We have two double seat carts going out per run which allow us to take out four passengers (possibly more if you have small children).
Cart tours are limited to cooler temperatures and will most likely not be available in the months of June, July, and August unless we have a colder than normal summer in which by all means give us a call. We typically run cart tours from late September through mid-December. For the safety of the dogs we do not run with carts unless the temperature is under 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
*Note: Fall cart tour times adjust according to the daylight. In October we run later in the afternoon so that we are out when it is cooler. The usually means around 4:00 or 5:00. Around the end October and after the end of daylight savings we will run around at 3:00. Late November requires that we run even earlier due to the time change and we need to get out by 2:30 in order to be completed before it is dark.
For these outings we recommend wearing cloths you don't mind getting dirty. Our dogs are very friendly; sometimes a little too friendly and they will jump up to great you. If it is wet out you may well end up with a dog paw print to take home as a souvenir.
